BMLS marks World Maritime Day

Bangladesh Maritime Law Society (BMLS) marked the World Maritime Day 2024 by hosting a seminar themed "Navigating the Future: Safety First!" held at the CIRDAP International Conference Centre on Thursday.

The event highlighted maritime safety amid evolving global challenges, advocating for legislative support and sustainable practices in the maritime sector.
Retired Justice AFM Abdur Rahman spoke at the seminar as chief guest and Prof Borhan Uddin Khan of Dhaka University as special guest.

Keynote speakers discussed on '50 Years of the SOLAS Convention: Implementation in Bangladesh', 'Bangladesh's Role as a Flag State and Port State in Contributing to Maritime Safety' and 'Prospects and Challenges of Green Shipping in Bangladesh'.
