Motorcyclist killed on Dhaka-Mawa expressway

A motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider was injured in road crash on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Srinagar of Munshiganj on Friday morning.

The deceased was Mohammad Rafi. Detailed about the victim could not be known immediately.

Quoting locals, Kanchan Kumar Singha, in-charge of Hasara highway police outpost, the accident occurred when Rafi lost control over his motorcycle and hit a road divider on the Mawa-bound lane of the expressway at Samashpur area in the upazila around 10AM, leaving Rafi dead on the spot and pillion rider injured.

He said the injured was taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
