Van driver killed in Naogaon road accident

A van driver was killed in a road accident at Manda upazila in Naogaon district on Friday morning. 

The accident took place at Sekihpara crossing in Gonashpur village under Gonashpur union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Sahidul Islam, 42, son of late Nur Mohammad, a resident of Goneshpur Sajipara village in the upazila.

Locals said Sahidul fell from his battery-run van and suffered a head injury while trying to give way to another van, causing him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceased's family members, said Mansur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Manda Police Station.
