Borsha and Megh are twin sisters. Both are almost the same age. Borsha is two minutes and forty-five seconds older than Megh. Borsha is nine years old, so Megh is two minutes and forty five seconds less than her. Although the age is the same, the two are opposite in nature.

Borsha is curious about all. All day long the words keep falling from her mouth like raindrops. Such as she asked her mother a few days ago,

Mother, why are our names Borsha and Megh? Usually the names of twin sisters are Ritu-Neetu, Rina-Mina, Jui-Tui, etc.

Mother then explained to her very nicely that you were born during the rainy season, now we can't keep your name Borsha -Torsha. So we named you Borsha and Megh.

Borsha might have liked the word so she kept quiet at that time.

Megh is very quite . She has no interest in anything in the world. Every day her routine is the same house, school, education. She has no outside world.

On that day Borsha suddenly demanded to call her apa. Megh immediately agreed, saying, well, I will call you apa.
Why don't you want to know the reason?

No need to know.

I'll tell you even if you don't want to know, because it's good to know, then if someone asks, you can answer, since I am two minutes and forty five seconds older than you.
 Hmm I understood.

Anyone else in Megh's place might not have agreed, saying that two minutes and forty-five seconds is not a long time for which she would have to call her apa. As Megh doesn't like troubles, she accepts Borsha's words and starts calling her Apa.

And then the Great tribulation began. Borsha is giving a request to Megh, bring my towel, did you see my Bengali book? Do you have a blue pen? I can't find my pen.

Borsha and Megh study in class four in the same school. Borsha is better than Megh in education.  Roll one in Borsha and twelve in Megh. However, Borsha makes education much less than Megh.

Mother always says Borsha is more brilliant than Megh, even if Borsha studies a little.

But Megh studies hard. But always gets less mark than Borsha. However, Megh's idea of twelve roll  is not so much. There are forty students in their class.  If Megh gets upset then what will happen to Ishita the girl whose roll is forty?

Whenever she is upset about her roll, she thinks of those whose rolls are thirty-eight, forty-nine, and forty. Oh what trouble them! Of course, everyone tells them that their brains are bad.

Another big difference between Megh and Borsha is that on the way back from office their father brings food for them. Borsha takes that from her father and eats quickly. She does not want to share with Megh. But the Megh is not like that. She eats what is given to her. No matter what Borsha does, no one scolds her, because her roll number is one.

In the month of Shravan, it was drizzling since morning. Both Borsha and Megh went to school despite telling Borsha a thousand times, but Borsha never took an umbrella.

Borsha, take an umbrella.

What happened to taking an umbrella in this rain?

Rain may increase on the way; Megh says if it increases, I can't pull the umbrella Borsha says.

Without saying anything, Megh puts her umbrella in her bag and goes to school.

True to the Megh, the sky darkened and rained at noon, thinking that the rain would not stop, the school was dismissed earlier. What else to do, everyone went out with an umbrella. Borsha and Megh are just one umbrella, both of them are walking home under one umbrella. But no one's head can be protected from the rain with an umbrella.

It's not good at all, it's not saving anyone's head, you better take the umbrella and I'll go like this. Besides, I like to get wet in the rain,Megh said to Borsha. To Megh's surprise, Borsha took the umbrella from her hand. Megh returned home wet, very feverish from the night. Mother sat by the bed and sobbed all night.

It was drizzling in the morning, why didn't you take an umbrella? Borsha  is right. She took  the umbrella. Mom, please keep silent. I have a terrible headache. Megh said.

Do not headache! The fever is not less than one hundred and two, even after taking paracetamol, the fever is not reducing. Mom, can I lie with my head on your chest?

Come on mom.

B was listening to Megh and mother from behind the door. And I was afraid that Megh might tell her mother that she didn't take that umbrella. Megh  is  wet for her. But Megh did not say anything but remained silent taking all the blame on her shoulders.
Megh loses consciousness in the morning. Their father quickly brought an ambulance. Megh was admitted to the hospital. Borsha also goes to hospital with parents. As soon as she got to the hospital, the doctor injected Megh. Check everything.  Parents are worried in their eyes.

Something bad happened, doctor?

Oh no, nothing like that, got a wet fever in the rain. The fever is a little high, so a nervous breakdown and fever. I am giving the medicine and you can take it home after a while. And tell the girl to keep an umbrella in the bag on rainy days.
The parents were talking to the doctor. Megh is lying in the hospital bed with her eyes closed, no fever in her body now. But she was very tired from fighting the fever all night. Borsha  came and held her hand, Megh opened her eyes.

Why didn't you tell to mother?

What's up?

I am the one who did not take the umbrella.

Oh it doesn't matter.

Of course it matters. If I didn't take your umbrella, you wouldn't have fever.

You would have come.

That was my punishment, punishment for not taking an umbrella. You were punished for no reason.

No problem.

Of course there are problems.

What's the problem? You are better than me.

Do you have to be first here? Roll number one?
Of course

How?

I will tell mother that you have fever because of me.

Well go and tell.

One more thing.

What do you say?

I don't have to call you sister anymore. We are twins both are equal. Well, I won't call anything else? And I will do all my work alone. If I lose a book, I will look for it myself, even if I lose a pen, I will look for it myself. You don't have to find it.

Ok, anything else?

From today I will teach you technique how to remember reading. Then you can be first too.

Ok Is there anything else left?

Answer a question?

Yes why are you so good?

I am your sister, so I am good.

The parents were standing in front of the door of the hospital cabin number 307 looking at a wonderful scene inside, cheek to cheek with Borsha and Megh. Borsha's face is not visible. The back is shaking. Is she crying! This is the first time they have seen this quick-witted girl cries.
