Bid to enhance woman participation in development work

NATORE, Sept 27: With a view to increasing women's participation in the development work and engaging them in making a discrimination-free country, a women's assembly was held in the district on Thursday. 

District Information Department organized the assembly at Chitholia Government Primary School in Bagatipara Upazila.
In this connection, a discussion meeting was held with M Abdul Awal, district information officer in the chair.

Dr Sabrina Anam, upazila education officer, was present as the  chief guest. 

District Information Officer M Abdul Awal said, some development issues such as early marriage, dowry, dengue, environment protection, and women empowerment were discussed at the meeting.

Over 100 women of different professions attended the meeting.
