BNP leader Dulu, 14 others acquitted of murder charge

NATORE, Sept 27: A district court on Wednesday acquitted BNP's Central Committee Member M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu and 14 others of a double murder case. 

Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Mynuddin delivered the judgement.

According to the case story, two youths Rakib and Raihan were going to join a victory procession of Awami League on the incident day on January 5, 2015. When  they reached Teberia Haat area in the town, miscreants shot them, leaving them dead on the spot. 

In this connection, Anjul Islam, elder brother of Rakib, filed a case with police station (PS) against BNP leader Dulu and 14 others. PS police arrested 14 persons including BNP leader Dulu and placed them to the court. 

Lawyer of the defendant party Advocate Ruhul Amin Talukder Tagor said, plaintiff group could not identify the accused in the court; so, the court released them from the case. 

BNP leader M Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu said, the case has got justice though it has taken a long time to be settled. He is satisfied over the court.

Punish them who are real offenders behind this case, he added.
