School girl killed in lightning strike in Dinajpur

A school girl was killed and other two were injured after being struck by lightning at Sadar upazila in Dinajpur district on Saturday evening. 

The deceased was identified as Farida Aktar, 15, daughter of Fayzuddin Rahman, a resident of Gobinathpur Kasaripara village in the upazila. 

It was learnt that a streak of lightning struck on three girls who returning to home from Godagari Couching Center after completing classes. The all then got injured. 

They were rescued and taken to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital, but Farida died on the way to hospital. 

The injured were received primary treatment from the hospital. 

Ruhul Amin, chairman of Uthrail union, confirmed the matter.
