Student Movement: Faruq’s body lifted after 55 days for autopsy

CHAR FASSON, BHOLA, Sept 30: The body of Omar Faruq, 16, who was killed in Student-Mass Movement on August 4, was lifted on Sunday after 55 days of burying in Char Fasson Upazila of the district.

The body was sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. 

He was buried in a graveyard at Ward No. 2 of Nurabad Union area in Dularhat Police Station in the upazila. Omar Faruq was an employee of grocery shop.

Char Fasson Upazila Assistant Commissioner (AC-Land) and Executive Magistrate Salek Muhit and investigating officer Tarikul Islam, law-enforcing agency members and family members were present during the body lifting.

AC said, according to court instruction, the body of Omar Faruq has been lifted for proper investigation.

According to family sources and statement of the case, after his day's work on August 4 on his way to residence, he was bullet-hit and died under the foot-over-bridge in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area. 

On August 6, his body was taken to his village home at Ward No. 2 of Nurabad Union and buried.

On September 11, as plaintiff his father Milon Farazi filed a case with Dhaka's CMM court, accusing 58. 

His family demanded exemplary punishment for the accused.
