RMG unrest is planned conspiracy of fallen dictator's beneficiaries: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday alleged that the unrest in the readymade garment industry is being created as part of a 'planned conspiracy' of the owners who benefited from the fallen dictator.

"The people, coming out of their (the beneficiaries of the dictator) garments, are creating an designed unrest so that this revolution of the students and people would fail and it (the success of the revolution) won't sustain... they are hatching this kind of conspiracy," he said while talking about the issue of the ongoing RMG unrest in Ashulia.

The BNP leader made this allegation at a function in front of BNP central office at Naya Paltan in the capital.

Talking about the RMG unrest issue, he questioned the political identity of some RMG factory owners. "Who is Nazrul Islam? Who is Salam Murshedy? Weren't they the beneficiaries of Awami League or AL MPs?"

About the Monday's violence in Ashulia, Rizvi said the fact is that the people from the garment owners who are beneficiaries of Sheikh Hasina came out and attacked other garments owned by the neutral persons or BNP men.

He said a big incident occurred following a trivial matter also in Chittagong Hill Tract area. The dictator's vicious circle is conspiring from the administration to everywhere and they are making one incident after another happen here, he claimed.

The BNP leader questioned the Interim Government why it is not dissolving the Union Parishads as the existing representatives in the local government bodies are the goons-panda-terrorists of the Awami League who made so many heinous and barbaric acts happen.

Pointing at the Advisory Council, he said, "What are you afraid of? Who is asking you that it can't be done? The blood of those who were persecuted and martyred by Hasina is being humiliated by keeping it (the UPs)."

Rizvi said there are Sheikh Hasina's followers in the different parts of the administration and they are secretly plotting to disrupt the functioning of the Interim Government, its administration and the activities of the democratic forces in various ways.

A pro-BNP platform 'Amra BNP Paribar' arranged the function to provide a new battery-run auto rickshaw to a victim of the student-people mass uprising.    —UNB
