Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain has urged European businessmen to explore Bangladesh's growing potential in trade and technology transfer, emphasising the interim government's commitment to addressing challenges those foreign investors may face.

He made the remark while a 25-member delegation from the Europe Bangladesh Federation of Commerce & Industry (EBFCI), led by its President Dr. Wali Tasar Uddin met him at the foreign ministry on Tuesday to discuss enhancing trade and investment ties between Bangladesh and Europe, said a press release issued on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the foreign adviser called for a renewed era of collaboration between Bangladesh's private sector and European industries.

Both sides exchanged views on the government's ongoing reforms aimed at transforming Bangladesh into a dynamic economy, driven by the energy and innovation of the country's youth and diaspora.

The conversation highlighted Bangladesh's trade and investment ecosystem, technology transfer and innovation, policy and advocacy, and tourism and branding.

The delegation comprised professionals and experts from the UK and other European countries, representing a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, technology, travel and tourism, manufacturing, and business consulting.

This visit underscores the importance of fostering stronger economic relationships between Bangladesh and Europe, with a focus on mutual growth through innovation and partnership.      —BSS
