Mazhar champion of Walton-BSJA Sports Carnival

Independent TV sports journalist Mohammad Mazharul Islam became the champion of the Walton-BSJA Sports Carnival 2024, the yearly sports festival of the Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA). The carnival concluded with a colourful award programme on Thursday at the BSJA office. Mazharul Islam won the champion trophy after winning the highest four events. The country's ace archer couple Diya Siddique and Roman Shana were present there as distinguished guests. Bangladeshi conglomerate Walton Group's Senior Executive Director FM Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn and Senior Deputy Executive Director Rabiul Islam Milton were there as special guests. Earlier on 17 September, with the participation of more than 50 members in eight disciplines the sports carnival began at the Bangabandhu National Stadium complex in Dhaka. The disciplines were Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Swimming, Shooting, and Call Bridge.     photo: BSJA
