A 35-kilometre- long tailback has been created on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu highway on Friday due to heavy traffic, heavy rains and road accident.

This traffic jam has been created from Bangabandhu Bridge to Natiapara of Mirzapur Upazila since early morning. The drivers and passengers have suffered greatly.
Elenga Highway Police Outpost In-charge Nannu Khan said that four passengers of a bus were killed on the spot in a bus-truck collision on Kalihati Link Road at around 1 am on Thursday. Due to heavy traffic and heavy rain on the highway, it took some time to move the buses and trucks after the accident. Due to this traffic jam has been created. However, efforts are being made to resolve the jam.
