AL Rupnagar leader Gafur arrested with firearm, ammo

Police arrested an Awami League (AL) leader along with a firearm and ammunition from the capital's Rupnagar area allegedly for attacking protesters during the student-people movement. The arrested was identified as Rupnagar thana Awami League vice president Gafur Mollah. 

Acting on a tip off, police arrested Gafur from his Rupnagar residence at 3:30am on Thursday, said a police press release.  Police seized a shot-gun, eight rounds of bullet and a cartridge from his possession.
