Obaidul Quader's brother-in-law injured after being hacked

Noakhali District Council's former member Md Moniruzzaman Monir was badly injured when miscreants hacked him  on Friday.

He is a brother-in-law of Awami League general secretary and former Bridge's minister Obaidul Quader.

The incident happened at about 3:30pm on Friday at Char Hajari Chowrasta when he was going to Basurhat from his village home under Char Parbati union in Companiganj.

Injured Moniruzzaman Monir is the son of late Aktaruzzaman if Char Parbatipur union. He has recently been removed from the post of member of Ward No. 7 of Noakhali District Council.

His nephew Fakhrul Islam Rahat said a group of miscreants hacked him intercepting a CNG-run autorickshaw when he was returning to his Basurhat residence after offering Jumma prayer at a mosque in his village home. They later left him on the roadside. Rescuing him, the locals rushed him to a hospital in Maizdi. He was later taken to Dhaka for better treatment.
