Workers block Chandra-Nabinagar road for attendance bonus

Workers of a readymade garment factory in Gazipur started protest demanding their attendance bonus, tiffin bill and yearly leave.

According to Gazipur industrial police, the employees of 'Irish Fashion Ltd' gathered in front of the main gate of the factory after they came to the workplace. 

Later, they blocked Chandra-Nabinagar road, suspending vehicular movement on the both sides.

Abid Hossain, a worker of the factory, alleged that the officials misbehaved with them. They want the authorities to suspend those officials. Besides, they also want attendance bonus, tiffin bill and yearly leave.

The workers warned that they will continue the protest till their demands are met.

Meanwhile, the vehicle movement on the Dhaka-Tangail and Dhaka-Mymensingh highways are normal.
