Incessant rainfall causes huge suffering for people in Chandpur

People of Chandpur suffered severely as the Met Office recorded the highest 250mm rainfall here in the past 24 hours.

According to a weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), 250 mm of rainfall was recorded from 6 am yesterday and meteorologists forecast intensity of rainfall may decrease from tomorrow.

Incessant rains have caused water-logging in roads and houses in various areas of Sadar upazila.

Chandpur weather office sources said On May 27 in this year, 257 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the district in 24 hours. Heavy rain has been pouring in the district since morning. Water-logging is seen in most of the roads in the district town.

People are staying at their houses due to heavy rain. It has been raining cats and dogs in the district since Friday evening.
