Raising allegations of corruption and willfulness against two senior secretaries, and some additional secretaries and joint secretaries, the Anti-Discrimination Employees United Forum (ADEUF) on Saturday demanded cancellation of the contract of Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary Dr Mokhles Ur Rahman and Health Services Division Senior Secretary MA Akmal Hossain Azad.
In a press release on Saturday, issued by its coordinator ABM Abdus Sattar, the forum reinstated its five-point demands including cancellation of the contract of the two senior secretaries.
In the release, the forum also gave announcement of postponing its 'Peaceful Assembly Programme' at the Public Administration Ministry at 9:00am on Sunday declared earlier to realize their five-point demands.
Their demands include cancellation of the contracts of all officers appointed during previous Sheikh Hasina-led government and controversial officers of the interim government period, withdrawal of all secretaries and department heads appointed before August 5, withdrawal of 42 controversial deputy commissioners (DC) appointed recently and fresh posting of DC with a new DC fit-list, cancellation of the decision to take departmental actions against 17 deputy secretary level offers and issue promotion orders to those who were deprived during the last 15 years.
The forum has also welcomed the government decisions to investigate the corruption charges against the PA Ministry Senior Secretary with a committee comprising three advisers.
