BSI holds ISO lead auditor training on environmental mgmt systems

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has organised an Exemplar Global certified five-daylong Lead Auditor Training Course on ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems).

It took place in the capital under the Standards Partnership Initiative and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom.

The Director General (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), MS M Ferdous Alam was present as the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony held at the hotel in Dhaka on Monday, says a press release.  

Mohammad Shohaieb, Director of the Standards Partnership Initiative of the British Standards Institution (BSI) was also present at the ceremony. 

There are 21 participants in the training, mostly from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Public Works Department (PWD)and private sector organisations.

The training is being delivered by Engr. Saibal Gupta and Engr. Syed Anwar Hossain.
