Dear Sir

Investors faced another challenging day on the Dhaka Stock Exchange as the DSEX index declined by 43.72 points, closing at 5,335.06. The downward trend was mirrored in the DS30 and DSE Shariah indices, which fell by 22.09 and 1.47 points, respectively. Turnover decreased slightly to Taka 3,665.53 million, reflecting a cautious sentiment among market participants. Out of 396 traded issues, 288 closed lower, with MIDLANDBNK leading in trading volume.

Islami Bank stood out as the top gainer, rising 4.69%, while NTC faced significant losses, dropping 8.74%. The Chittagong Stock Exchange also experienced a downturn, with the CASPI losing 154.50 points. As market conditions remain volatile, many investors are opting to secure profits from recent gains, leading to a heightened sense of risk aversion. Staying informed and strategic in decision-making will be crucial in navigating this landscape.
