Within a day of resignation of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Chairman Sohrab Hossain and its 12 members, the government reconstituted the BPSC appointing Prof Mobasser as its new chairman and four new members.
Prof Mobasser Monem, a professor of Governance and Public Management at Dhaka University (DU), has been appointed as the new chairman of the BPSC.
A notification, signed by Public Administration Ministry Senior Assistant Secretary Nilufa Yasmin, confirmed this on Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, BPSC Chairman Sohrab Hossain and its 12 members resigned at a time.
In separate notifications, the PA Ministry also appointed four persons as the member of the BPSC. They are Md Suzayet Ullah, Dr Md Aminul Islam, Dr Nurul Qadir and Dr Md Nazmul Amin Majumdar.
