Construction worker dies falling from building in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, Oct 12: A construction worker died after falling from the roof of a three-storey building in Panchbibi Upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Raju Hossain, 30, son of Abdur Razzak, a resident of Nakurgachhi Village under the upazila. 
Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Panchbibi Police Station (PS) Kawsar Ali said that Raju was working on the roof of an under construction building owned by one Emdadul Haque in TnT Pashchimpara area of the upazila town in the morning. 

At one stage, he fell from there accidentally, which left him critically injured.

The fellow workers then rescued the injured and took him to Joypurhat 250-bed General Hospital.

Later on, Raju Hossain died at the hospital at noon while undergoing treatment.

However, an unnatural death case was filed with Panchbibi PS in this regard, the OC added.
