Three more people died from dengue and 1, 186 patients were admitted to hospitals across the country with the viral fever during the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in daily update mentioned that, with the fatalities, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease in the country rose to 226 this year.
Among the deceased, two deaths were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation and one in Barishal division (Out 0f city corporation).
Of the new patients, 309 were admitted in hospital under DNCC while 144 were hospitalised in DSCC and 267 in Dhaka division (Out of city corporation), 136 in Chittagong division, 95.
A total of 45,950 dengue cases have been admitted to different hospitals across the country since January 1, 2024.
Last year, 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.
