The Global Handwashing Day and National Sanitation month observed at Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur district on Thursday.
On this occasion, a colorful procession and discussion were organized by Kaliganj Municipality with the support of Urban Management and Infrastructure Development Project, LGED.
The discussion was held in the upazila parishad meeting room presided over by Kaliganj Municipal Administrator and UNO SM Imam Razi Tulu.
Among others the Upazila Engineer (LGD) Belal Hossain Sarkar, Social Service Officer Shahadat Hossain, Youth Development Officer Zahir Uddin, Kaliganj Municipal Administrative Officer Masuduzzaman, Accountant Dulal Moral, Immunization Supervisor Mir Mosharraf Hossain spoke at the discussion.
Earlier, in the morning, the procession circled the important roads of Kaliganj from the upazila parishad premises.
