Tk 11 lakh snatched from microbus at Mohammadpur in broad daylight

Robbers snatched away Tk 11,85,000 from a car of Nestlé Company at Mohammadpur in the capital in broad daylight.

The incident happened at about 9:50AM at Mohammadpur Housing Ltd area.

Mohammad Saiful Islam, the company area accountant, said, "I was going to a bank to credit some office money by a microbus. When the vehicle reached Mohammadpur Housing Ltd area, it began to run slowly as the road there was broken. At About 9:50AM, six robbers riding on two motorcycles suddenly broke the looking glass of our vehicle. They attacked us inside the car with machetes. I fell down from the microbus. Then they took away the office bag full of money. The robbers also took away some money from my pocket."

Around Tk 11,85,000 were inside the bag and also a check of Tk 17,000.
