NATORE, Oct 21: Natore Municipality authorities have taken a programme to administer HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine to tender aged girls to prevent cervical cancer.
They organized a training in its hallroom for the workers so that they can give vaccine to the girls in right way on Saturday.
Dr Aungshuman Sarker inaugurated the training.
Farazi Ahmed Rafiq Babon, president of Natore Press Club and Zulfiqul Haider, joint secretary of Bangladesh Municipal Service Association, gave welcome address.
The vaccination will begin from October 24 and will continue up to November 6.
During this time, 14-year-old girls will be given vaccines. About 881 girl students of 39 educational institutions in the municipality will be vaccinated.
Another programme will begin from November 7. It will continue up to November 17.
The vaccination will be administered through nine centres. At present registration is going on.
