Shibir file cases with ICT over enforced disappearances

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir on Monday filed cases with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) seeking appropriate legal steps against them, who were involved in enforced disappearing of its 6 leaders from 2012 to 2017.

Two separate complaints---one for enforced disappearance while the other for killing a student on August 5 at Konapara in Demra area of the capital during the uprising. All the cases filed to the ICT on Monday.

In the cases filed by the members of victims' families with the help of Chhatra Shibir demanded to take appropriate measures.

They alleged that the law enforcement agencies under the ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's government were involved in this act.
