The members of Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) on Tuesday demanded cancellation of the appointment of administrator in the trade body.
At a view exchange meeting held at a city hotel presided by the HAAB member Mazharul Islam, they made the demand.
Among others, former HAAB Secretary General Farid Ahmed Majumder, Mesbah Uddin Sayeed, Mobarakullah Shimul also spoke.
Speakers said that, due to the conspiracy of the associates of the fascist Awami League government, the commerce ministry has appointed the administrator in the trade body.
It will hamper the enter Hajj management for 2025 as the administrator would not be able serve the pilgrims duly, speakers said.
HAAB members claimed that an elected body is needed to manage the Hajj and serve the pilgrims.
They sought interference of the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government to remove administrator and reinstate the immediate past committee.
