The Global Handwashing Day was observed in Natore's Bagatipara Upazila on Thursday.
On the occasion of the day, a discussion was organized in Baral Conference Room chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anamika Nazrul jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and the Public Health Engineering Department.
The upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Suraia Momtaz, Upazila Public Health Engineer Enayet Hossain, Agriculture Officer Dr. Bhabasindhu Roy, Cooperative Officer Faizul Kabir Titas, Youth Development Officer Abdur Sabur, Assistant Education Officer Ashraful Islam spoke.
Earlier, a procession was brought out which paraded important roads.
Later, the students were taught the correct way to wash their hands and soaps were distributed to everyone.
