Army to set up camps in each housing of Mohammadpur

Bangladesh Army will set up temporary camps in each housing area of Mohammadpur in the capital from Sunday afternoon to combat terrorism, mugging and robbery.

Army members will work around the clock at these camps to maintain law and order in the area.

Deputy Commander of the 23rd East Bengal Regiment Maj Nazim Ahmed announced this at a press briefing held at Bosila around 1AM on Sunday.

Army personnel arrested 45 individuals from Mohammadpur during a operation.
Temporary camps will be set up in various housing areas from Sunday to control the law-and-order situation. A single camp will control two to three housing areas.

A total of 45 criminals were arrested over a robbery at Bosila Supershop. Several lethal weapons were also recovered from their possessions, Maj Nazim added.
