2 held with heroin in Rajbari

Police arrested two drug peddlers along with heroin from Daulatdia Poravita area under Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district early Sunday. 

The arrested men are Shahin Mondol, 32, and Sopon Chowdhury, 50, residents of Goalanda municipality. 
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area around 3:00am and arrested them from a road adjacent to Shahid Minar under Poravita area in the upazila. Then, police recovered five grams of heroin from their possessions.

The accused have been sent to the court after filing a case against them under the Narcotics Control Act.

Md Rakibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Goalanda Ghat Police Station, confirmed it through a press release on Sunday morning.
