52 fishermen held for violating Hilsha ban in Bhola

The Fisheries Department has arrested 52 fishermen for defying Hilsha ban in Bhola district. 

Of them, 42 were jailed and fined. The rest have been released on bond.
They were arrested from the Tentulia river in Lalmohan upazila of the district on Monday (October 28) morning.

At that time, 70 kg of Hilsa, 35,000 meters of illegal net and eight boats were seized from the fishermen.

Bhola District Fisheries Officer Biswajit Kumar Dev confirmed it.
