Prof Nazmul joins KAU as new VC

KHULNA, Oct 30: Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan joined the Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) as its new Vice-Chancellor (VC).

Chancellor of the Public University and President Md Shahabuddin appointed Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan, a teacher of the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology Discipline of Khulna University, as VC on Tuesday. 

Treasurer Prof Sarwar Akram Aziz who was also in-charge of Academic and Financial Activities, Assistant Professor of the Department of Animal Nutrition Dr Taslim Hossain, Assistant Professor of the Department of Aquaculture Dr Asaduzzaman Manik, office heads, officers and employees were present at the time of joining by the new VC in the morning.

Speaking on the occasion VC Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan sought cooperation from teachers, officers, employees and students for making the KAU's academic and research activities uninterrupted.

He also expressed his firm determination to turn the university into a centre of excellence in the country.
