National Youth Day observed in districts

The National Youth Day-2024 was observed on Friday across the country amid much enthusiasm.

To mark the Day, different programmes were organized in districts including Gopalganj and Laxmipur.

GOPALGANJ: On this occasion, the district administration and District Youth Development Department jointly organized different programmes in the town.

A rally was brought out from the deputy commissioner's (DC) office premises at around 10:30 am, and it ended at the same place after parading the main streets of the town.

Later on, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the DC office. 

Gopalganj DC Muhammad Qamruzzaman was present as the chief guest while Additional DC (ADC) (General) Md Golam Kabir presided over the meeting. 

Deputy Director of District Youth Development Department Md Mizanur Rahman delivered the welcome speech at the programme.

After the discussion, cheques of youth loan, training certificates and professional licences were distributed among the youths.

LAXMIPUR: To mark the Day, different programmes were organized in the district.

The programmes included bringing out a rally, holding discussion, inaugurating corner for the martyred, taking oath, distributing tree saplings and prize giving ceremony.

A rally was brought from the premises of the District Youth Development Office in the morning, and it ended at the same place after parading the main streets of the town.

Later on, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Youth Development Office.

Laxmipur DC Razib Kumar Sarker was present as the chief guest while ADC (General) JP Dewan presided over the meeting.

Deputy Director of District Youth Development Department Jashim Uddin Ahmed Khan moderated the function.

Additional Superintend of Police Hasan Mostafa Swapon and Sadar Upazila Youth Development Officer Saleh Uddin, among others, were also present at that time.
