The president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Sophia Kounenaki Efraimoglou, recently had a meeting with Bangladesh Ambassador to Greece Nahida Rahman Shumona, in Athens.
Also present at the meeting was Michalis Kandarakis, member of the Board of Directors who is responsible for Bangladesh. The strengthening of bilateral relations dominated the meeting, as they stand at low levels.
Furthermore, it was found that there are many areas of cooperation between the two countries and that business opportunities present themselves mainly in the fields of pharmaceutical products, construction and building materials, organic textiles, jewelry and shipping.
The possibility of organizing an information event for Bangladesh in February was explored.
