According to a quarterly human rights report (July to September) released by human rights organization Odhikar on Friday, the highest number of deaths occurred between August 1 and 5, when 93 people were killed in political violence.
Following the ousting of the Awami League government on August 5 through a student-people uprising, 52 people lost their lives in political violence during the interim government's tenure from August 9 to September 30.
Odhikar's report reveals that 1,581 individuals were victims of extrajudicial killings between July and August, based on information provided by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizen Committee.
This figure represents the total deaths from massacres during that period.
Odhikar is actively investigating and documenting extrajudicial killings that occurred between July and August 5.

The report observes that from August 5 to 8, Bangladesh had no formal government.
Besides, the report shows that 67 people were killed in mob beatings between July and September.
Of these, 36 deaths occurred between July 1 and August 5, while 31 deaths occurred between August 9 and September 30.
