Traffic to be restricted at Dhaka Cantt Nov 21

The Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) has announced that traffic in the Dhaka Cantonment area will be restricted at specific hours on Thursday (November 21) due to the observance of the ‘Armed Forces Day 2024.

It said various events will take place inside Dhaka Cantonment marking the day.

The movement will be restricted in the area from 7AM to 11AM and 12PM to 7PM, according to a notification issued by on Saturday.

ISPR has requested all vehicles -- except those carrying invited guests and personnel stationed at the cantonment -- to avoid the Shaheed Jahangir Gate to the Staff Road during the period and urged the commuters to plan alternate routes and avoid travelling through the cantonment area.

The restriction was imposed to keep the streets inside the cantonment free from traffic congestion, the notification added.
