National Railway Day observed in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Nov 16: National Railway Day-2024 was observed in the district on Friday amid much enthusiasm and festive mode.

Bangladesh Railway Fans Forum (BRFF) arranged  different programmes, marking the day, including reciting Quran and Geeta, singing national anthem, holding Doa Mahfil and quiz competition. Besides, a cake-cutting function was also held on the premises of the railway station in the  town in the afternoon with Hridoy, an active member of BRFF, in the chair. 

Tanzir Pervez, founder and director (admin) of the BRFF virtually joined the function and addressed it as the chief guest.
 
Station Master Abul Kashem Sarker, Rail Fan Sazedul Islam Shuvo, Journalists Syed Nurul Alam Zahangir, Sofiul Islam and Neyamul Ahsan Pamel spoke, among others. 

Speakers termed the rail fans as railway lovers and said, they are always doing rail related service works for the people. 

Members of the rail fan forum are providing information in groups on when and where a train is going and passing through the station, they added.

They also emphasized the need for providing rail services to the rail passengers without any hassle. 

Later on, cake pieces were distributed among participants.
