Man held with 10 gold bars in Feni

 
FENI, Nov 18: An alleged gold smuggler was arrested along with 10 gold bars weighing 1.16 kilograms from a bus on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Khaiara in the district on Sunday.

The arrested man is Dwijendhar, son of Sudhangshu Dhar, a resident of Raozan Upazila in Chattogram District.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police intercepted a Cumilla-bound bus from Chattogram on Sunday and recovered 10 gold bars worth Tk 1.20 crore from a passenger, kept in his shoes tactfully, said Superintendent of Police Habibur Rahman. Later on, police arrested him.

After filing of a case with the police station concerned, the arrested was sent to the jail.
