Despite a lackluster performance from the batters, Bangladesh bowlers wrapped up the two-day warm-up match against the CWI Selected XI on a high note as the game ended in a draw at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua. Left-arm spinner Hasan Murad stole the show with a sensational hat-trick in a brief but impactful 10-ball spell.

Resuming Day 2 at five for one, the hosts were bundled out for 87 losing nine wickets in the process. Both sides agreed to conclude the match as a draw.

Bangladesh used five bowlers all of whom impressed except for Taijul Islam and Nahid Rana. Hasan Murad's hat-trick came as he dismissed Daniel Beckford, Navin Bidaisee and Chaim Holder in quick succession. Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud picked up two wickets each, while Shoriful Islam and captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed one apiece.

Kimani Melius (23), Justin Greaves (20) and Daniel Beckford (19) were the only batters for the CWI XI to reach double figures.

Earlier, Bangladesh had declared their first innings on Day 1 at 253 for 7 after opting to bat. Wicketkeeper-batters Jaker Ali (48), Mahidul Islam (41) and Liton Das (31) retired out after solid starts, while Mominul Haque and Shahadat Hossain Dipu contributed 31 and 25 runs respectively before being dismissed.

For the CWI XI bowlers, Jair McAllister and Chaim Holder led the attack with two wickets each, while Shaaron Lewis, Nathan Edward and Justin Greaves took one wicket apiece.

Bangladesh is currently in the Caribbean Islands for a multi-format series against the West Indies consisting of two Tests, three ODIs and three T20i matches. The first Test is scheduled to begin on November 22 in Antigua, with the second starting on November 30 in Jamaica. The ODI series will take place on December 8, 10 and 12, followed by the T20i matches on December 15, 17 and 19.
