Two women held while illegally entering India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two women from Kaliani border area under Sadar Upazila of Satkhira on Thursday.

BGB said that they were arrested while crossing the border illegally.

The arrested persons are: Nargis Akhter, 25, daughter of Mahatab Uddin of Rupsar area in Khulna District; and Josna Akhter, 32, daughter of Mujibar Patwari of Chiddipasha Village under Abhaynagar Upazila in Jashore District.
On information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the house of one Saifullah in Shikari on border area and arrested them.
Two mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.

Later on, the arrested were handed over to Satkhira Sadar Police Station.
