131 PhD, 75 MPhil holders honoured by Jamiatul Mudarreseen

Bangladesh Jamiatul Mudarreseen accorded reception to 206 PhD and MPhil holders, hosting a special ceremony at Gausul Azam Complex in the capital on Thursday.

Islamic Arabic University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Shamsul Alam spoke at the event as chief guest with President of Bangladesh Jamiatul Mudarreseen and also Daily Inqilab Editor AMM Bahauddin in the chair.

Prof Shamsul Alam emphasised that degrees should serve the religion, urging the recipients to conduct research that benefits society and the people.
"Do research on topics that reflect the needs of the time and serve the cause of the religion," he said.

AMM Bahauddin highlighted the role of women in society and the importance of raising strong and faithful children.
