KHULNA, Nov 24: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University (KU) Prof Dr Md Rezaul Karim sought everyone's cooperation to make the KU an impactful university.
"The KU authority will be conducted properly so that it can play a role for sustainable development for the great interest of society and the nation as well," he made the remarks while exchanging views with journalists at Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium of the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Basu building of KU on Saturday.
"Our research will also play a role in country's development as well as able to face global challenges," he said.
The KU students become skilled and whenever they do work, they can become proficient, the VC said, adding, "We want to make KU impactful by showing speedy administration activities".
The VC also outlined the administration has taken several steps to fulfill the desired vision of KU in terms of education and research, international collaboration and ranking, skill enhancement, infrastructural development, administrative consolidation, and student-friendliness.
He also said that various committees have been formed to remove discriminations if found.
Remembering the all martyred students including KU's meritorious student Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, across the country during quota reform and anti-discrimination student movement, the VC prayed for the salvation of the departed souls.
KU Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan addressed the meeting while the Director of Student Affairs Prof Dr Md Nazmus Sadat conducted it.
KU Acting Registrar Prof Dr S M Mahbubur Rahaman, Deans of different school, Heads of different Disciplines, Provosts, Directors and journalists of print, electronic and online media were present.
