2.48 lakh yaba seized in Cox’s Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Nov 27: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 2,48,000 yaba tablets during a drive in Teknaf Upazila of the district early Tuesday.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Mohiuddin Ahmed, captain of Teknaf-2 BGB, said, "On information, two teams of BGB conducted a drive in Der Number area along Bangladesh-Mynemnr border at around 1:30 am. 
Six people then entered Bangladesh from Myanmar, swimming across the Naf River. At that time, the people fled the scene, leaving behind some bags after BGB chased them." 

Later on, BGB men recovered the bags and found the drugs. 

Legal procedures are under process in this regard, the BGB official added.
