Mamata's remarks align with her usual stance: Adviser Touhid

Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain noted that he sees West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's remark as typical and consistent with her usual stance.

"I see this as Mamata-like remarks," he said On Monday when reporters wants to know about the government's stand on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata's remarks over the Indian media report that the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee urged the central government to seek the deployment of a peacekeeping force in Bangladesh. 
Adviser Touhid said "Bangladesh wants to see a friendly and normal relationship with India.
Speaking at a media briefing at State Guest house Padma, the foreign adviser noted that he sees West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's remark as typical and consistent with her usual stance.

Earlier in the day, Indian media reported that West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee urged the central government to seek the deployment of a peacekeeping mission by the United Nations in Bangladesh to tackle the ongoing situation there.
