Army Chief opens academic bldg of BNCC at Savar 

Opens Senaneer at Tangail Cantt

Chief of Army Staff Gen Waker-Uz-Zaman on Thursday inaugurated an academic building of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) at Baipayl in Savar. 

At the inauguration ceremony a smart contingent of cadets from the army, navy, and air force wings of the BNCC gave a guard of honour to Gen Waker-Uz-Zaman, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release Thursday evening.

After unveiling the plaque, he planted a sapling at the BNCC Training Academy and participated in a special prayer for the welfare of the country. 

The Army Chief recalled the sacrifice of all martyrs of the great Liberation War and BNCC cadets as well as martyrs of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.  He highly appreciated the role of the BNCC at the social and national levels and congratulated them.

Meanwhile, General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed building named 'Senaneer' for army personnel at Shaheed Salahuddin Cantonment located at Ghatail upazila in the district. He inaugurated the building by unveiling a plaque and releasing balloons at 3:30pm.

Later, the army chief visited different floors of the building and exchanged views with the army personnel and their families.
