The movement of all types of vehicles inside the Dhaka University (DU) campus has been restricted.
The university authorities informed this through a notice published on Saturday (December 14).
It said the entry of all types of vehicles through all the entrances (Shahbag, Doyel Chattar, Burn Unit, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi and Nilkhet) has been banned from 3PM to 10PM on Fridays, Saturdays and other government holidays.
Besides, the movement of vehicular from outsiders has also been limited on the campus from 5PM to 10PM on general working days.
Only vehicles with DU stickers and emergency vehicles, including ambulances, media, and government cars, will be permitted inside the campus, the notice reads.
Meanwhile, DU Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed clarified that the authorities restricted the vehicular movement for the protection university students.
