Ferry service resumes on Shariatpur-Chandpur route after 6 hrs

Ferry services have resumed after 6 hours as dense fog cleared on the Shariatpur-Chandpur waterway.

The BIWTC Ghat authorities restored ferry services from 8:45 am on Sunday (December 15). 
Earlier, the services on the route were suspended from 3 am on Sunday.

BIWTC Narsinghpur Ferry Terminal Deputy Manager Iqbal Hossain said that heavy fog appeared from Saturday night. Ferry services on this route were suspended from 3 am to avoid accidents in the fog.

Later, when the dense fog cleared, ferry services were restored to normal around 8:45 am on Sunday. Currently, six ferries, both large and small, are plying on this route.
