Bangladesh reports zero dengue death in 24hrs

Bangladesh reported zero death from dengue fever across the country during the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During the period, 373 more patients were hospitalized with the viral fever.
As the no death was reported, the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh stayed at 548 and however, 98,877 dengue cases have been reported since January 1.

Among the new infected patients, 96 were admitted to the hospitals under  Dhaka devision (excluding city corporations), and 73 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

Besides, some 483 people released from the hospitals after treatment during the period and 96,662 were released till date. 

Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 1,705 people, making it the deadliest year on record.
