Probe body formed over displaying message at railway station billboard

A four-member committee has been formed to investigate the display of a controversial message from banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on the digital screen at Khulna railway station on Saturday evening (December 14).

According to the Khulna railway station master Masud Rana, the committee was formed on Saturday night.

A team, led by Divisional Transport Officer (West Zone) Hasina Khatun, reached the station at 1PM on Sunday by Sagardari Express train.

According to the witnesses, the message that stated, "BCL will return in dangerous form, Sheikh Hasina will make a comeback. Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu". Local people, students and BNP activists staged protest over the incident.
Following the incident, local students and the public detained an employee of the station Aslam Hossain Sentu and handed him over to police.
