Strict action will be taken against those who grabbed river and forests illegally.

Environment, Forest, Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan came up with the warning while speaking at an event virtually on Sunday evening, said a ministry press release.

The event titled 'Eco Leaders Youth Empowering Initiative on Environment, Climate, and Renewable Energy for Bangladesh,' was held at the Bangladesh Military Museum.

Rizwana, also the water resources adviser, said the interim government is working to keep the environment free from pollution.

She mentioned that development activities are being conducted in line with public expectations, avoiding destructive practices.

The adviser mentioned that due to the climate change, Bangladesh is struggling with challenges such as floods, droughts, and salinity.  She urged all to come forward in tackling these issues collectively.
